We’re delighted that our Festival Coordinator, Declan Baharini, will be speaking at Language World 2025. Declan will be sharing learning and ideas from Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages and exploring ways of celebrating linguistic and cultural diversity in schools, towns and cities.
Language World is a special event in the calendar, bringing together teachers, language practitioners and experts from a wide variety of fields.
The Language World 2025 theme centres around cherishing the richness of our multilingual and multicultural world and the diverse, personal, lived experiences of languages educators and all learners.

It’s my first time at Language World and I’m thrilled to be able to share the pioneering partnership work that we do in Newcastle and the region to celebrate, promote and support language learning and teaching.
I’m also looking forward to hearing the many speakers from around the UK and beyond, making new connections and bringing new ideas back to the North East.
