Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages is a celebration of the diverse languages, cultures and communities in the region and our connections with the world. There’s something for everyone!

We invite people in the North East of all ages and all backgrounds to share their own languages and cultures and learn about others.  There are lots of free events, activities and resources introducing new and creative ways to learn, speak and teach languages. Many are available from 22 February, with live events in Festival Week 22-26 March 2021.

Get involved and celebrate with us!

Events and activities include a wide range of languages and cultures and are either for those in formal education (Early Years to University), in communities, or both in the North East of England.
