Love Your Language Party – Celebrate your Mother Language at West End Library (Benwell): 11.00-12:30 on Monday 16th February

Love Your Language Day comes to the West End – come along to West End Library in Benwell, Newcastle on 16th February for a celebration of International Mother Language Day!
There will be storytelling, music and crafts for all the family! Play games, share stories and play your favourite music in your mother language.
No registration required – this event is a drop in for families and children (suitable for children aged 5-12, but all ages welcome)

This is a free drop-in event, open to everyone.

What is the activity?
This event welcomes children and their families to celebrate the languages that people speak at home and in their communities.
Head to the West End Library for a fun, family-friendly celebration of language, storytelling and world cultures in honour of International Mother Language Day.
- Gather round for special multi-lingual Storytimes
- Get creative with arts and craft activities that celebrate language
- Play games, share stories and play your favourite music in your mother language
- Browse and borrow from our collection of world language books for children and adults
The event is marking International Mother Language Day (21st February), a UNESCO day celebrating and promoting cultural and linguistic diversity.
