What is the activity?
Schools will participate in an Olympics style sports day where 9 countries will take part in a range of activities.
Part of the day will be based around individual athlete testing type exercises that all young people will have a go at.
The other part of the day will be based around mini versions of team games including, football, basketball, dodgeball etc. In these games, the schools will place lots of little games giving everyone the chance to get involved.
Whilst the programme of sport delivery is going on, there will be a series of country-based tasks that the young people can work through in their group. There will then be chance to share some of this with the other ‘countries’ to share their learning.
The event will aim to bring everyone together to enjoy sport through the lens of different countries and cultures.
